As promised, and because it is still holiday season, my topic today is fiction books. Now fiction refers to literature created from the imagination and can be mysteries, science fiction, romance, fantast, chick lit (literature for ladies \ud83d\ude0a) or crime thrillers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

J.K. Rowling of Harry Potter fame once said \u201cIf you don\u2019t like to read, you haven\u2019t found the right book.\u201d Harry Potter isn\u2019t really my cup of tea (my favourite expression) and when I was a teenager, in the absence of smart phones \ud83d\ude0a,  I spent hours with my friends reading trashy (cheap) romantic novels and moved onto Stephen King and Maeve Binchy (popular Irish author) when I got older.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are looking for a good English book to read, I would always recommend a book which you would enjoy reading in German and is not too difficult to understand. Otherwise, you would probably put it down after a few pages!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of my favourite books is \u201cThe Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night\u201d by Mark Haddon and I was delighted to see it as No. 1 in the following blog <\/a>of English Novels for Beginners:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
